Alice Street Film

Join AFO, Portland Street Art Alliance, NW Documentary and Clinton Street Theater for a special screening of the award-winning documentary, Alice Street.

Alice Street explores a downtown Oakland site and four-story mural, situated at a unique intersection where Chinese and Afro-Diasporic communities face the imminent threat of displacement and gentrification. The film was recently featured opening night of the National Building Museum’s 2023 Architecture & Design Film Festival in Washington, D.C.

Stick around after the film for a panel discussion exploring the power of community engagement in urban design and public art for social change. The panel will feature:

This event is a part of the 2023 Alice Street National Impact tour, bringing Alice Street to over 30 film festivals across the globe.
