Dine & Design: Dinner at Skylab’s New HQ

Join us at our first Dine & Design of the season! Enjoy a casual (and tasty!) dinner and bonfire in Skylab’s outdoor courtyard and patio, and check out the firm’s extraordinary new space.
Originally a circa-1947 Quonset hut in the city’s Northwest industrial district, the complex consists of two semi-cylindrical, prefabricated steel warehouse buildings, notable for their arching roof forms and connected via an enclosed walkway. Skylab has reworked the layout and updated the buildings through a strategic set of insertions and modifications.
The venue features a wide range of meeting and work spaces including a full kitchen, fabrication shop, interiors library, and outdoor gathering spots. The interiors feature an industrial aesthetic with natural elements introduced through cross-laminated timber, wood cabinetry, and four 15-foot-tall trees in the vaulted work area, complete with Mylar-festooned walls and ceiling.
