afo’s (almost) summer celebration

Tuesday, June 5, 2018
anytime between 4:30-6:30pm
621 SW 5th Avenue, Portland

Connect with afo members and friends, and celebrate this beautifully reimagined historic building which so clearly articulates afo’s vision of sharing design’s role in shaping our future.

The Meier & Frank Building was designed by prolific Portland architect, A.E. Doyle, and built in the 1920’s using glazed terra cotta on its exterior for its flagship department store. The building has undergone various iterations since then and is now getting a fresh look thanks to Sterling Bay who is transforming the first five floors of this 16-story architectural classic into creative office space with the capable team of Bora Architects, Turner Construction and many others.

Tour the building with members of the building team, enjoy food and drink, and mingle with friends and colleagues for the most lively event of the season. The Cyrus Nabipoor Quartet will be stopping in with some top-notch jazz which you can’t often hear outside of New Orleans!

Proceeds from this event benefit afo’s programs and services, including Architects in Schools.
